Displays the properties of the active object in the project browser. The object properties vary depending on the selected object.
Most properties are informative. Some properties can be changed.
The Palette Object properties is displayed when you double-click an object in the project structure or when you right-click an object in the context menu and select Properties.
General properties and functions of palettes are not discussed here. For more information, refer to the AutoCAD documentation.
Palette Object properties
db_ath_project_browser_properties
The Object Properties palette contains collapsible sections (pop-up menus) that you can close and open using the double arrows next to the respective section heading.
Depending on the selected object in the project structure, the displayed pop-up menus change:
Drop-down menu Preview
Displays a graphical preview of the position. The preview is only available for drawing positions.
Drop-down menu General
The general properties shown here depend on the selected object of the project structure:
• For a job or partial job, the name and description are displayed. Next to the name is the Edit button. This allows you to open the Dialog box Project Manager to change the job properties.
• For a group, the group name, quantity and description are displayed.
• For an item, the item number, quantity and description are displayed. The Edit button is located next to the name of a free position. This allows you to open the Dialog box Position to change the position properties.
Drop-down menu Bar
Member properties are displayed for drawing positions of cross-sections or 2D projections.
Length You must enter the length for a cross section, otherwise the position cannot be evaluated. In the case of a projection, the projection length is automatically adopted. You can change these by stretching the drawing object.
Area The area is calculated from the length and circumference of the cross-section.
Drop-down menu Special features
Special properties are displayed for foils and sheet cross sections.
Length This is the stretched length of the foil or sheet.
Width You must enter the width, otherwise the position cannot be evaluated.
Area The area is calculated from the length and the width.
Drop-down menu Position
Position properties are displayed for all positions.
Position No. The item number is assigned automatically as soon as you create an item. You can define the number range for the different object types in the options under "Presettings" in the Drop-down menu Positioning.
Article No. This is the article number that you have defined for the respective object in the Dialog box Item.
Weight Weight per piece. The weight is calculated from the cross-section, the length and the material.
Quantity As a rule, you must specify the quantity. Exceptions are 3D objects (members and fillings) and insert elements (window/door elements and facade elements). Here, each object in the drawing represents a position in the project structure.
Drop-down menu Other properties
The other properties vary depending on the object type. Commonly used are designation, material, nominal size, standard, etc.
The other properties are informative and cannot be changed.
Drop-down menu References
If a position has references, you can see their position number here as well as the partial job in which the respective reference is located. A position can have several references.
Jumps to the respective reference position in the project structure.
Drop-down menu Reference Properties
For references, the item number and the partial job of the referenced item are displayed here.
